This guide offers a way to assess a graduated scale of risk in an individual’s exposure, vulnerability or commitment to violent extremism conducive to terrorism. It is a simple guide on using different behaviors to make an assessment of the risk being faced by an individual minor and recommended actions that the teacher should undertake.
The level of risk the minor is exposed to is graduated in colors: Red for Very High; Orange for High; Yellow for Medium; and Green for Low. With the exception of the Red / Orange levels, which call for reporting to relevant authorities, all other indications are not in themselves a sign of a crisis or a problem. It is the combination and the teacher’s reasonable assessment of them that can lead to a conclusion that intervention is required
