Paradoxes of Jihadism in Nigeria | Citizen Support


Nigeria is home to various militant groups most notably Boko Haram that gained prominence in the early 2010’s and mainly operates out of Borno. The latest entrants to the foray are the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), a splinter group of the original Boko Haram. ISWAP has been claiming many of the recent attacks that have been taking place in Nigeria and the West African region in general i.e. Cameroon, Chad and Niger.
